Do you knowhow to do taxes?
It's not something I ever had any interest in. In fact, they were rather intimidating to me.
But for the last few weeks, I've been learning how to do taxes.
Why?
Well, because I've taken on a new part-time gig, working with a friend who is a CPA. I'm studying tax law and learning how to do taxes as well as getting ready to eventually help with people having trouble after filing taxes incorrectly. Sounds fun, right?

What do you do when the AC can't keep up with the heat? You call your AC guy, right?
We had already had our guy out to clean the unit and make sure everything was good to go. He said it all looked great. So, my house should not have been 83 degrees when it was set to 77. And rising.
He came that afternoon. Looked around. Said the unit was working. Crawled under the house. And that's when he found it.
Most of the insulation on our ductwork was off. It was old and had rotted and fallen down and was doing nothing now, so most of the cool air was staying down in the crawl space instead of actually blowing into our house.

To begin, my husband tends to have terrible timing and can’t keep a secret to save his life. I never get presents on my actual birthday or anniversary, he can’t hold on to it that long and has to give the gifts early!
