Have you checked out The Ruffled Mango? You should! It's such a pretty site. And has so many good tips and spiritually minded posts.
Today, however, one of the posts is about MY BOOK! And they're doing a giveaway. Go check it out here.

They say "Write what you know." And I do, for the most part. Every now and then I get out on a crazy limb and try to incorporate a job I don't know quite as much about as I thought I did. Or, I give a recipe or hobby I need to do a little research on to make sure I'm telling it correctly. I don't know how other authors do it, but every November, my internet search engine gets a workout. This afternoon alone, I searched for four or five different things in the span of two hours, none of which seem to have anything to do with the others: deer hunting season in Louisiana, January holidays, scripture art, and standard doctor tools. Just from that, any ideas what my story is about this year? Ha! Here's the scripture I went with, by the way. I like the way this website has the wooded path with it, too.
I'm feeling a bit famous lately. Ha! I know I'm not yet, but it's nice to see the four and five star reviews my book is getting and know that there are other people out there who enjoyed it enough to share that information with their friends. What to see where else I'm featured right now?
Kylee did a nice interview with me here on her blog. She's also doing a giveaway for my book so feel free to jump over there and enter! This week is a little bit crazy at my house. Not only did my book release yesterday (YAY!), Nanowrimo started, too. And Tuesday was not only Halloween, but I also got to go speak to the Creative Publications club at the school where my husband teaches and share some of my small knowledge with those teenagers about the writing/publishing process. And this weekend we're celebrating my daughter's third birthday. So, needless to say, I feel a bit like a chicken with its head cut off. But we've all been fed, the laundry is clean if not put away. The dishes are mostly washed (that's progress no matter what time of year it is in my house). And my child will turn three no matter how her birthday cake turns out tomorrow. I guess I better go write a few more words for nanowrimo before my teething 14-month-old wakes up from nap. I just didn't want you to think I was neglecting you guys while working on another story. How's your week going!

This is a place for me to tell you about what I'm writing, talk about the process or where some of my ideas came from, or even have other authors come in and talk about their books.
