Happy Thanksgiving. If you're like me, sometime today you'll probably go through and count blessings. And eat turkey and pie, of course. Seriously, though. Do you stop more than once a year and count blessings? Because there's so many! One of my favorite holiday movies is Holiday Inn. My daddy raised me right, watching the oldies. In this Irving Berlin movie, Bing Crosby sings a song about each holiday. I've posted the one for Thanksgiving below. Listen closely. He talks about how much he has to be thankful for despite the things he doesn't have. Don't we have a tendency to do that, too? "Thanks, God, for this, but I really wish I had that instead." Not the best way to pray, huh? But I've been thinking a lot about being thankful the last few months. All the people complaining about everything to do with 2020 was wearing on me, and it made me wonder. Was 2020 really THAT bad? No. Sure, we didn't get to do everything we wanted. We had to stay home for a while, wear masks, do without certain things in the stores, etc. But besides that, wasn't this year pretty good? Here's some things I'm thankful for this year.

This is a place for me to share thoughts and ideas not just related to writing. Thoughts about what's going on in my life, about an idea I got that I thought shareworthy, or just a funny anecdote.
