I am a planner. I like to know what's coming up and have it written on my calendar and my calendar app, too. I love being able to see ahead to all we have going on. I even highlight things in different colors to keep track of my blog calendar. That being said, when I bought my two-year planner in 2020, I couldn't wait to fill it up. Of course, you know what happened in 2020. There was a lot of erasing. There was a lot of good, too, though.
That planner took me through 2021, too, and I can flip back through the pages and see so many fun events and activities that happened over the last two years. Birthdays. Anniversaries. Date nights. Book releases. But that planner holds no more pages for me. So, I've moved on to this new planner, a gift from my sweet friend Heather Greer. It has some of my books as well as pictures of her and Erin Howard on it. And I love it. But it's not laid out quite the same. So, it's also an adjustment. Ridiculously enough, I'm rather sad to think about throwing away my old one. I can't use it anymore. It's full and done and I really don't need anything left in it because the important dates are written in the new one. But it's been with me so long and through so much, it's rather bittersweet, too. But, the new planner is already filling up with all sorts of fun things (haircut in March? yes, please! Book release in June? Yes, yes, yes!). It holds potential for so many new memories and achievements. And at the end of the year, I'll get to start all over with another new one, just waiting for my life to fill in the blanks. Are you a planner? Do you love to look back at everything you've accomplished or been through in a year? Do you love seeing pages fill in with new adventures and memories?

This is a place for me to share thoughts and ideas not just related to writing. Thoughts about what's going on in my life, about an idea I got that I thought shareworthy, or just a funny anecdote.
