Behind the Story: Queenie

In my last book, I discovered the joy of writing the "bad guys." I'd never really had anyone truly evil in my stories before, but with me redoing fairy tales, of course those characters needed to show up. In Rendersella, we had the evil stepmother and stepsister. In Fairest Inn All, we have Queenie Ville.
Queenie is determined to build her own hospitality empire. She started with an inn, then tore it down to build a resort, tearing down several more to expand. She doesn't mind outbidding her own nephew to buy up another inn, if it gets her the land and location she wants. And she has her eye set on the Apple Inn next.

Only one problem. The Apple brothers don't want to sell to her. Their inn is old enough, she sends an inspector over and has it condemned. Now they'll have to sale. But she wasn't counting on them reaching out to their niece and nephew, Kari and Jake White.
The younger generation comes in, hammers and tools and ideas at the ready, turning around the old inn and saving it from destruction. What can she do now? Can she beat them another way? Maybe through this new contest, the one The Mirror announced--The Fairest Inn All Contest. There's got to be a way for her to get her hands on that inn!
Think I had some fun writing Queenie? She definitely pushed and stretched me in ways I wasn't expecting, but it was so much fun imagining her as she strutted around in her high heels. Have you met Queenie yet? Think she's a villain you can love to hate?
