Behind the Story: Jake

Let's talk about a secondary character today. Jake is Kari's big brother. He's been there for her their whole life and has no plans to change that. He dreams bigger than his calendar can hold, but somehow always pulls his plans off.
Jake loves to joke and tease ... and flirt. He's friendly, and a goofball. And he has a crazy obsession with hunting.
But Kari can't do life without him. He is the lighthearted to her serious. He helps her stretch out of her comfort zone and believe in things that seem impossible to her.
That's why she agrees to go with him to Georgia to help their uncles revamp their old inn. If only she knew how to rein him in once he starts dreaming ...

Jake is probably one of my favorite characters. Even though he keeps things light, he also lets his serious side show in this story. He's protective of his sister, but also of his own plans and dreams. And when he meets a cute baker, well, those dreams expand about as fast as her dough. And it knocks Kari for a loop.
