Thanksgiving 2024

While 2024 may not have gone exactly as I expected, that doesn't mean there hasn't been a lot of good happen. And let's be honest, a lot of the unexpected things have been good too.
Two of my biggest blessings this year are the two books I released. For Better or For Granted and A Match Made at Christmas are out in the world and receiving great reviews. (You can snag the e-copies for only 99cents through Dec 3.) These were both works of love and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. So, those are the first two things I'm listing to be thankful for this year.
Of course, my family is always on my list. My sweet husband and I celebrated 20 years of marriage back in June. And my children are growing and healthy and smart. Definite blessings, all of them.

My husband was blessed to be offered a position in the school he's been working at so that he could teach dual-enrollment with a university program, which gave us an extra stipend. And while we didn't get to spend that money on what we had planned, it was there when we needed to have repairs done on both vehicles within a few weeks of each other. Isn't it funny how God knows exactly what you need before you can even think of it? So, while I'm wishing I could've spent the money another way, I'm grateful we had it for what we needed.
I was blessed to be awarded 2023 Editor of the Year for Scrivenings Press. I love being a content editor and it thrilled my heart to have my authors I work with vote for me. That's been such an unexpected blessing the last few years.
Our garden did well this summer despite the weird weather. The fall was slow in coming, but turned out gorgeous. I'm surrounded by so many amazing friends and a wonderful church family. We have more than enough food. Yes.
I am blessed.
And last but not least, I'm blessed to have you, dear reader. Thank you for being a part of my writing life. I couldn't do this without you!
